After being welcomed by Rutgers Engineering Dean Alberto Cuitiño and university Chancellor Francine Conway, SEU president Ying-Yao Cheng spoke. Eric Garfunkel, Rutgers’ vice president for global affairs and distinguished professor of chemistry and physics and his NSYSU counterpart provided overviews of their respective schools. After presentations and tours of the chemistry and materials science and engineering departments and Weeks Hall, the guests and Rutgers personnel enjoyed lunch at the Rutgers Club.
