National Engineers Week 2024
First celebrated in 1951, National Engineers Week is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. At Rutgers, EWeek is a chance to showcase what makes the School of Engineering great and to celebrate our community with fun events and some friendly competition.
Battle of the Majors: EWeek Spirit Trophy
May the best engineering major win! Earn points for your department by attending and volunteering at National Engineers Week events. All attendance and volunteer points will be tracked after each event. The most spirited department will be announced on Friday, February 23rd at the conclusion of Rutgers Engineers Week.
Point Scoring System: The percentage of students in each department who attend or volunteer at each EWeek event will determine the number of points the department receives. For each event, each department will receive a score of 1-10 points (10 for the department with the highest percent of attending students and 1 for the lowest). No department will earn a score of 0. Total points will be tallied at the end of the week to declare a winner. Leader boards will be shared daily.
To Participate: Students, faculty, staff, and alumni can all contribute points to their department! Look for the QR code/google form link during each event and enter your name, department, engineering society, and RUID.
Attendees for events will receive points (i.e. coming to our spirit week table or Cardboard Canoe Races). The following groups will receive double points for attendance (i.e. count as two attendees): volunteers at each event, Pep Squad members, Interns Present semi-finalists, faculty, staff, and alumni.
