As a NACME Block Grant Partner Institution, we provide financial and programmatic support to students in engineering and computer science. Our partnership includes matching renewable scholarships and access to exclusive NACME opportunities, such as annual scholarship awards, technical development programming, and internships with NACME’s board companies. These resources are designed to support your academic and career success.
NACME Renewable Scholarships
Student Eligibility
To be eligible for the NACME Block Grant Renewable Scholarship Program students must:

Be in good standing and matriculating full-time on campus at Rutgers University.
- Major in Computer Science or one of the following Engineering majors: Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (other engineering majors will be considered on a case-by-case basis).
- Identify as under-represented (African American, American Indian, or Latino) and/or first generation.
- GPA Requirement: First time nominees (if not a freshman) must have a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA and to receive renewal support must maintain a minimum required GPA of 2.8.
Renewable Scholarship Award Process
NACME Block Grant Scholars Students are awarded through our office and therefore students do not need to submit a separate application.

NACME Technical Development Programs
NACME also offers weekly webinars on technical subjects that lead to technical certifications, cash prizes for winners of NACME's Hackathon held at their annual conference, and programming during the summer via technical bootcamps. Rutgers students receive priority access to all of NACME’s programs.
