Research Opportunities

Rutgers and the School of Engineering provide research opportunities for undergraduate students to gain valuable hands-on experience. Working alongside faculty members in advanced laboratory settings expand classroom learning. Students pursuing research opportunities may be invited to coauthor papers for academic journals and often go on to research careers or further education, earning master's and doctoral degrees.

Aresty Research Center

The Aresty Research Center's mission is to support undergraduate research at Rutgers University giving undergraduates the opportunity to explore the process of research, as well as connect with faculty mentors and projects that aid in defining their research goals. Aresty provides a platform for students to support their research through funding as well as present their findings university-wide during our annual symposium.

J. J. Slade Scholars Program

The James J. Slade Scholars Program is a selective, research-focused option open to students in the third year who have maintained a 3.2 university cumulative grade-point average. Each Slade scholar prepares a plan of study under the tutelage of a faculty advisor with the support of both their undergraduate and the Honors Academy director in the Rutgers School of Engineering.

Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation
