SoE Travel Scholarships

The travel scholarships support SoE undergraduate students to present their research findings at national or international technical conferences or workshops.  The travel scholarship is up to $500 or covers the actual expense if it's less than $500.  Depending on the location or the duration of the conference, students may need additional support from their research supervisor or through personal funds in order to cover the expense for the entire trip.

Please note that the scholarship is for continuing School of Engineering undergraduate students supervised by a Rutgers faculty or research staff, and the applicant must be a presenting author of a peer-reviewed paper or abstract published at a reputable technical conference or workshop. A decision will be made within two weeks from the time of your submission.  Please contact Dean Song at the School of Engineering ( @ if you have any questions regarding the travel scholarship. 

In order to be eligible, students must have completed at least one semester as a full-time student (12+ credits) at the School of Engineering.
Please provide the title, author information and a short abstract of your paper.
Please let us know the full name of your research supervisor at Rutgers.
Please submit your estimated travel expense including quotes for transportation, lodging, conference registration fees, etc.
Files must be less than 2 MB.
