The School of Engineering Admitted Student Open House welcomes admitted students and their parents to learn about Rutgers Engineering. We will be available all day to make sure you get a chance to meet students, faculty, alumni and academic deans and advisors. Don't leave until all your questions are answered. 

Get Ready

You can enter our Event Site, by using the web application or downloading the event app titled Rutgers School of Engineering from your mobile app store. After providing your email address and creating a password, you will be asked to enter the event passcode below.
Event Passcode was sent to your email address linked to your Rutgers application.

Once you've set up your account:

  • Check out the list of events and make your own personal schedule.
  • ​Participate in the Photowall Challenge and post a picture of your hobby before April 10 to be entered into a raffle to win a t-shirt! 

**Parents can join on their devices too! You enter the same way, use your own email and password. Then enter the event passcode that was shared with your admitted student via email.**

Dean Farris will share highlights about our school and get you excited about what Rutgers Engineering has to offer.

Young Alumni Panel | 9:15 a.m. - 9:55 a.m.

What was it like transitioning from college to industry? How does Rutgers Engineering prepare you? These are just some of the questions you can ask our recent alumni. Breakout sessions included.

Student Panels 

Academic Paths & Student Leadership | 10 a.m. - 10:40 a.m.

Learn the many ways our students enhance their academic experience at Rutgers with options to double major or minor, study abroad, and gain leadership experiences through student organizations. Breakout sessions included.

Research & Internships | 12:30 p.m. - 1:10 p.m.

Meet students from various majors and learn about their undergraduate research experiences and/or internships. Breakout sessions included.

Introduction to our Majors through Class Demos

Participate in an abbreviated intro class to each of our majors and meet faculty from our departments. Each session will share FAQs about their undergraduate major.

10:45 AM-11:15 AM: Materials Science Engineering OR Industrial Systems Engineering
11:30 AM-12:00 PM: Environmental Engineering OR Packaging Engineering
1:15 PM-1:45 PM: Chemical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering OR Mechanical Engineering

Student Networking Session | 10:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. or 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.

Hop into our networking room to mingle with current students from each of our majors and engineering organizations. You can also engage in 5-minute "Speedy Sets with SoE" every 20 minutes. Chance to win prizes.

Special Cohort Information Sessions | 11:15 a.m. - noon

If you’ve been admitted into the Honors Academy, Engineers of the Future (EOF/EOP) Program or as a transfer student, please join your respective sessions to learn more about program requirements and services. 

Undergraduate Forum | 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Throughout the day, you’ve been submitting questions on our question wall. If you haven’t received an answer or have more questions, join our forum. First-Year, Honors, EOF/EOP and Transfer deans, along with department undergraduate directors will be available to answer your questions.
