The School of Engineering Admitted Student Open House welcomes admitted students and their parents to learn about Rutgers Engineering. Meet current students, faculty, and administrators; tour the campus facilities, labs, and residence halls; and participate in information sessions.

Tour Engineering facilities including labs, lecture halls, and classrooms.
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Guides available outside at Richard Weeks Hall of Engineering - Lawn
Last tour starts at 1:30 p.m.
 

INFORMATION SESSIONS

School of Engineering Dean's Information Session
Learn about what makes Rutgers School of Engineering unique. Academic deans will share highlights about the academic programs, students and faculty, major and minor options, and answer general questions.
Time: 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

Engineering Student Panels
Student representatives share experiences and answer your questions about life in and out of the classroom.
Topic: Undergraduate Research & Academic Paths
Time: 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • If you are interested in pursuing undergraduate research or learning more about the various academic paths our students undertake (i.e. double majors, study abroad, accelerated masters program, etc.), then this is the session to join. 
Topic: Internships
Time: 11:15 a.m. to noon
  • Attend this panel to ask current students about their internship experiences, co-ops, career advice, and university resources for obtaining real-world experience.
Engineering Faculty Panel
Topic: Innovations in Engineering
           (featuring Chemical, Industrial Systems, Materials Science and Packaging Engineering) 
Time: 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • Learn about the innovative research our faculty are conducting across different disciplines.
First-Year Engineering Class Demo - (2 Sessions)
Topic: Intro to Matlab

You've Decided! Next Steps for Transfer Students
This is a session for transfer students that have committed to attending Rutgers Engineering in the fall. Here, we will address next steps for enrollment, transferring credits, Transfer Orientation, along with fall course planning. 
Time: 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Location: Fiber Optics Building - Easton Hub Auditorium
 
Transfer Advising Hub
Time: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Location: Fiber Optics Building - Easton Hub Lobby
  • The engineering transfer advisor, along with transfer T.I.P. mentors, will be available to answer specific questions about transferring into Rutgers School of Engineering, transition into upper level engineering courses, and how a mentor can help.
You've Decided! Next Steps for First-Year Students
This is a session for First-Year students that have committed to attending Rutgers Engineering in the fall. Here we will address next steps for enrollment, transferring AP/IB credits, New Student Orientation, along with fall course planning. 
Time: 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Register for the Rutgers-New Brunswick Admitted Student Open House. We encourage you to park on the campus hosting the first presentation you wish to attend. Follow signs to the parking area for that campus.
  • No event is mandatory. You pick and choose the tours, academic and student life presentations and other events you wish attend!
  • Rutgers buses will be available all day to help you move from in and between each of the campuses.
  • Downloading the Rutgers mobile application will assist you with directions and campus transportation.
