Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, Industrial Sector, Eaton Corporation
Jeff Lowinger recently joined Eaton Corporation as senior vice president, engineering and chief technology officer, industrial sector for Eaton Corporation. Prior to that he was the executive vice-president of engineering and xworx for Bell Helicopter. He was also a member of Bell’s Executive Leadership Team. Mr. Lowinger was responsible for all aspects of the company’s new product development and sustaining engineering for all future and current production of legacy aircraft.
Mr. Lowinger was responsible for all innovation and technology through Bell Helicopter’s high-tech Xworx organization. Jeff joined Bell Helicopter after spending 25 years at Boeing Rotocraft where he serviced nearly all Boeing helicopter program.
Mr. Lowinger has held various executive engineering and program leadership positions including extensive involvement with the CH-47, RAH-66, ARH, 609 and multiple unmanned programs. He is responsible for ensuring Bell Helicopter remains in the forefront of engineering technology, knowledge, and process improvement. As the functional leader of the multi-site and multi-discipline engineering organization, Mr. Lowinger is responsible for formulating, implementing, and directing programs, policies and procedures to assure excellence in all facets of engineering.
Mr. Lowinger is active in promoting science, technology, engineering, and math through his involvement at Texas Christian University and Penn State University. He is also on the Board of Directors for the American Helicopter Society. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Rutgers University School of Engineering.
