More than 3,300 international students from 125 countries came to Rutgers to study in the past year. The School of Engineering welcomes international students to our vibrant, thriving, and engaging community of learners. You are considered a first year applicant if you have/will have graduated from high-school, but have not attend a college or university when you first enroll at Rutgers University. Please visit First Year Applicants for more information.
You are considered a transfer applicant if you have attended a college or university (in the U.S. or outside of the U.S.) after graduating from high school. For more information, please go to Transfer Programs.
* According to Rutgers Undergraduate Admissions, an international applicant is one who is currently studying in the U.S. on an F-1 or J-1 visa or one who intends to enter the U.S. on one of these visa types.
