BIOGRAPHY:Dr. Masato Iwasaki is an Assistant Manager of the Engineering R&D Group at NGK Spark Plug Co., Ltd.  He joined NGK in 2002 as a researcher at its R&D center. Since then, his research work has focused on developing a wide variety of applications, including low temperature co-fired ceramic substrates, piezoelectric actuators, integrated circuit packages, and energy storage devices. From 2004-2006, he was also a visiting scientist at Pennsylvania State University researching dielectric metamaterials. Masato holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, an M.S. in Materials Chemistry, and a Ph.D. in Department of Materials Chemistry, all from Tohoku University.
