Director, Customer Service Operations, Verizon
Colette Hazen is director of Customer Service Operations at Verizon. She is responsible for a team of technical experts who monitor the facilities, cell sites, switches, and routers residing on the wireless network. Her team also partners with data services, operations, performance, vendors, and the regional network groups to maintain the reliability of the Verizon Wireless network.
In her previous role in Verizon Enterprise Solutions (VES), Ms. Hazen led a global team responsible for delivery of network solutions to Verizon’s top tier customers. Her team also was responsible for strategic process and systems planning and driving operational improvements in the ordering, provisioning, and activations functions for VES across the globe.
Ms. Hazen’s 19 years of experience and leadership span multiple functions, including network engineering and planning, customer service delivery, circuit maintenance, and program management operations in Verizon’s Enterprise and Consumer lines of business.
One of Ms. Hazen’s key contributions to Verizon was her leadership in the successful launch of FiOS, Verizon’s fiber-optic Internet and TV service. She was responsible for the overall network and content planning of the video network in new markets, end-to-end system migrations, and deployment of new video products.
Ms. Hazen began her career with Verizon in 1996 as a Network Engineer for Bell Atlantic, a legacy company of Verizon.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University, and a master’s degree in Technology Management from the Stevens Institute of Technology.
