On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of the School of Engineering at Rutgers University, I would like to welcome you to our website, where we'll share news of exciting activities and accomplishments of the school. The core mission of the School of Engineering at Rutgers is The Delivery of Excellent Education, Research, Service and Economic Development. In order to accomplish this, the goals are apparent - - to engage in cutting-edge research, provide high-quality instructional programs that make use of innovative educational philosophies and advanced technical tools, provide outreach and service to our constituencies, and to integrate these into an educational environment of recognizable excellence.

As part of a major land-grant research university, the School plays a significant role in education. With over 2,600 undergraduate and over 800 graduate students, the School makes a substantial contribution to education and training of the future leaders in engineering in order to meet the demand for well-trained and well-educated engineers.

The faculty, staff, and students of the School of Engineering continue our tradition of blending core engineering fundamentals with solid programmatic initiatives designed to give our students the best preparation for a career in a high-tech workforce or for graduate studies. We will also seek new opportunities that will enhance our solid record of faculty research, industry interaction, and government cooperation.
